This is not an in-depth review nor is it really objective, I am not a hardcore fan, I am still reading the books (on the second one) and I started watched the series before season 6, I binge-watched the 5 previous seasons in less than 2 weeks, so of course I don’t have this enormous feeling of dismay as some may have, but I can still be annoyed nonetheless!

Ok,like I said I won’t make a full review, cos ain’t nobody got time for that, I was hyped, as most people, for this season, the season when it all comes together…this very climatic fulfilling destiny time for Jon,Dany, everyone…

Or so I thought, first of all, after been waiting for so long for the epic battle against the white walkers, the night king…I expected Jon to kick serious ass, (the dragons battling was good,I will admit it) or Dany to just blow everything up (Dany, y u no unleashed destructive power HERE dammit) ,but no, we have an ok battle, the big moment of redemption for Theon Greyjoy (thanks for that) and the final match, Night king vs Bran Stark/3 eyed raven whatever…they going to…stare! Just stare at each other…until a flying squirrel, I mean, a skillful assassin, Arya, just jumps from behind,he grabs her but hey, she’s Arya Stark dammit, she uses this little trick and kills him. That’s it. Years of hype for this…even Melisandre did more than Danny and her 2 dragons, she set on fire the weapons of the dothraki AND lit the trench thing. The way she went out was also good, it was her own choice dammit.

Ok..fine, but there’s more to come right, Cersei vs everyone final showdown! First of all…Euron,fucking Euron Greyjoy, he kills poor Rhaegal on the previous episode, in that attack they shoot a lot of heavy ass arrows, but then, Dany watched how to train your dragon or some shit cos she is doing these awesome tricks, just sliding,gliding, she’s an ace dragon rider now! It also helps the iron fleet shot ONE freaking arrow, ONE, they didn’t seem to have all of them ready (cocky, just stupid or both?) The good thing is the dragon fries the damn iron fleet.

And the other scorpions? Ah yeah,they there,all pretty and obviously not ready, or damn Drogon learnt to fly faster cos it was all ashes and crispy soldiers by when they shot “Fire!”,well fire they got for sure! Now, why on earth the same dragon’s fire can crisp people, just crisp them,but also blow up solid rock ? Does it have different intensities??

Anyway, the fight goes on, moments of tension,Cersei is up in her castle looking all confident

 

Until her Hand (Qburn?) tells her “Yo,dem scorpions destroyed..” then her face is

Lol, I liked that, I mean, she has been a main antagonist for a long time, she’s got some epic showdown coming…what will it be? an old prophecy told by a mysterious witch/woman in a crappy tent,dragon’s fire, Arya,Dany,a Lannister bro?

Nope, fucking debris, the damn Red Keep collapsing on her,OH no,not her alone, fucking Jaime Lannister dumped Brianne, went to King’s landing and went to find Cersei, of course captured but released by Tyrion, so he’s going on the secret passage,who does he run into? EURON FUCKING GREYJOY ,he was just around a rock, how much did he fucking swim? So Euron wants to fight Jaime cos, reasons, he stabs him real good but of course having a gold hand has to be useful so Jaime has the last blow,he is still good enough to go ALL the way to where Cersei is,cos why not? they go to the bottom of the building, see no escape, hold each other and then debris kills them…COME ON, they both had awesome characters..they deserved better.

Ok so we move onto the taking of the city, Jon, Sir Davos and Greyworm are facing the Lannister soldiers, they hear the dragon and drop their swords, cos that’s the thing to do dammit! so Jon is relieved and takes a deep breath, we have the most suspenseful moment in this season (for me) while we watch Dany going wacko, I mean, waiting for them bells to ring or not..

When we saw this face,I was thinking “oh no” she just went straight for the red keep, which was ok but,no, let’s burn these innocent people and these soldiers that already surrendered, cos dracarys! We all in shock, then Arya drops her lifelong quest to kill Cersei, just with few words from the Hound, so he goes and has his final fight with his brother, an ok fight. Cersei leaves in a sorta amusing way,like “ok passing through bye, yeah excuse me” and keeps walking.

Dany had more destructive power with one single dragon than she ever had with 3? Ok

Arya…she escapes death 100 times and survives quite well, then she finds the freaking horse, which was mounted by a golden company dude ( the poor golden company, so hyped and they just got burnt) ,a white horse nonetheless (is it you? Shadowfax?) she climbs him and goes away…

NOW FOR THE VERY LAST EPISODE 

I even went to a bar to watch this with friends, we all were expecting something,well I wasn’t expecting much, the place was crowded, the ambience was great. Glad I had some beers for it haha.

The episode begins, let me tell you, the tension was well handled, maybe a bit too long tho, I had to hold my pee for a long time,so Tyrion looks for the dead bodies (hoping they are alive?) of the Lannister twins, and sure enough, they lay, dead , under the FUCKING DEBRIS ,this is emotional, all good. Also good idea not to make them be miraculously alive, or hair would had flew off my head!

Dany’s speech OMG, I was still kinda hoping she’d be like “Whelp,that went wrong but from now on things will be good” but the moment this shot was screening, I knew it, she was full on tyrant herself, even if she truly, legit thought she was “liberating” people,also kudos for her giving her speech in those languages.

“Blood of my blood. You kept all your promises to me. You killed my enemies in their iron suits. You tore down their stone houses. You gave me the Seven Kingdoms,” she tells them, speaking in High Valyrian. “Unsullied, all of you were torn from your mother’s arms and raised as slaves. Now, you are liberators. You have freed the people of King’s Landing from the grip of a tyrant. But the war is not over. We will not lay down our spears until we have liberated all the people of the world! From Winterfell to Dorne, from Lannisport to Qarth, from the Summer Isles to the Jade sea. Women, men and children have suffered too long beneath the wheel. Will you break the wheel with me?”

^^ That was Dany’s speech, it does sound inspiring but she just massacred an entire city, “freeing people of King’s landing”, you mean burning them and stabbing them eh? such liberation you got there…I really think most people will agree, she truly believed she was right, later on when she talks to Jon and he is like “we need a good world” ,she’s like “I KNOW what’s good” ok, so you are the new parameter for what’s good and bad now? Yeah no, that’s very third reich woman.

So we got some Tyrion talking to Jon while being imprisoned, Jon goes talks to Dany, he kills her, in an okish way, (8 years in the making to die like this? oh well, you had became a tyrant so it’s ok) Drogon doesn’t flinch and melts the iron throne, I am unsure if he understood what the purse of the throne did to his “mom” or he just wanted to burn something. He takes Dany’s body and flies away,that was sad, for him.

Then a long ass time passes, Jon is imprisoned, why didn’t the unsullied killed him is beyond me, must be due to the bunch of Northern people hanging around…so there’s a council, Sansa, Arya, Bran, Sam,Yara and others, long story short, Tyrion becomes intelligent again and gives a cool speech, he thinks they all should pick a king or queen, he proposes Bran, cos he knows all…ok so they all vote yes, Sansa says “Ok lil bro, love ya but the North will be independent -wink wink me Queen there- ” everyone is fine with it and that’s it, Bran the broken is the new fucking king.

Arya goes all Colon and sails off to search for new lands, Sansa is queen in the north, best thing ever, Jon goes back to ..the fucking nightwatch which has no purpose cos there are no more white walkers..so he goes with Turmond pal.

That’s it.

At least they got this one right!
